What we keep and why
Draft. TriviSpar hasn't launched yet. This is our working version; the final, attorney-reviewed version will be posted here before the app is available.
What we collect
- Account: display name, username, age range, and the email or sign-in you use.
- Your spars: the questions you write, your answers, hints, appeals, scores, and who you play.
- Safety: reports you make, reports about you, and who you've blocked.
- Purchases: what you bought and your subscription status (Apple handles payment; we never see your card).
- Technical: basic device and crash data so the app works and we can fix it.
AI processing
TriviSpar's referee is an AI. With your permission, which we ask for before your first spar, we send the questions you write, your answers, hints and appeals to our AI provider so it can check questions, rule on answers, write hints and find sources. It isn't sold or used for advertising.
You can withdraw permission any time in Settings → AI and your data. The game can't run without it, so withdrawing stops play.
Who sees what
- The person you're sparring sees what you write in that spar.
- Our moderators see content that's been reported.
- Service providers who run the app for us (hosting, AI, crash reporting) process data only to provide their service.
We don't sell personal data and we don't use it for targeted advertising.
Children
TriviSpar is for ages 13 and up. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if we learn we have, we delete it. Some states require parental consent for users under 18, which is handled through the App Store.
Keeping and deleting
Your data stays while your account exists. Delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or on our deletion page, and it's removed. Safety reports are kept for up to 90 days so we can act on them, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Depending on where you live you may have other rights. Email privacy@trivispar.com.
